They Spin Me Right Round, Baby

Boy am I stoked. These rear wheel hubs had been on my to-do list for 4 years (!) until an extremely helpful board member was able to convert my sketches into a CAD file. If you're reading this Steph - I love you, lol Tongue out

I submitted the drawing to a local machine shop and two weeks later picked a pair of these up:

The extended ARP wheel studs (off a late model Camaro!) were then pressed in, as were the cups for the tapered roller bearings.

And finally - after all these years - they were bolted on.

They Spin Me Right Round, Baby :: Initial test fitment They Spin Me Right Round, Baby :: Test rotor mounted They Spin Me Right Round, Baby :: Checking outer cap clearance

I don't think I could be happier with the end result. Everything went together like a charm and fits/bolts on perfectly. I was unsure about how well the outer cap would clear the stub but even that fit brilliantly. The design uses all factory or off-the-shelf parts with no modifictions necessary. Inner seals are stock 1st gen civic, outer cap/seal is EG civic and the rotor I hope to use will bolt straight on too Cool

Now I just have to see if my next big gamble - the turbo manifold - will pay off (if I ever receive the d@^^n thing).
